The world is laced with an abundance of opportunities to feel good.

Isn't it interesting that two people can be in the same place, looking at the same things and have a completely different experience? They can both take what they want, both benefit and never even disturb one another.

Two men walk into a forest. Neither one knows each other, in fact they hardly even notice one another. One man sees the beauty and impressiveness of the magnificent trees, smells the sweet scent of fresh pine and hears the harmonious song of the birds. He sees nature at it's finest and revels in the synergy of flora and fauna. He is at peace and relaxes into a state of appreciation. He returns home with the memories of positive emotions and the images of grandeur. He loves the forest for it's aliveness. He knows at any time he can extract more goodness from its lavish abundance.

The other man sees something completely different. He walks through the forest, appreciating the slew of fallen trees, dead branches and dry leaves. He is at peace, observing dried-up moss and dehydrated pine needles. He sees an abundance of opportunity for creating warmth and ignores all live aspects of the forest. He collects an armful of fallen logs and debris and returns home. He slowly builds himself a fire with careful precision and attention. He twists together dry grass and layers it between the remaining tinder. He stacks layers of logs around the kindling and ignites his pile. A warm beautiful fire emerges as he sits back and admires its splendor. He feels pleased with his accomplishment and takes pleasure in its beauty. He loves the forest for it's deadness. He loves transmuting its debris into something that thrills him.

So here we are in this forest of life. A place of beauty, plentifulness and contrast. It is up to you to decide what you want to see, create and enjoy. Every moment is an opportunity to feel good. If you are not feeling good, it is just a choice and not a condition. If you are stuck not knowing what to do, find the beauty in what already exists around you. Shift your focus from what annoys you to what excites you. You will never run out of things to love on this planet.
