Smile and the whole world smiles with you...

When you change yourself, the world around you changes.

For most of my life, I observed what was going on in the world and struggled to find ways of coping with the things I did not like. Since birth, our parents are constantly warning us about all the evils of the world and cautioning us against all the "bad" things. It wasn't until these past two years that I realized, it was my attention to those things that brought me more of just that.

I picked up a new book and everything changed.

I'm self employed and I was at the book store picking up a new book on how to grow my business. Books are my passion and I feel right at home when I'm there. These huge megastores are like churches, a breeding ground for education, opportunity, and relaxation. I just love it!

Anyway, I went there to pick up a book on networking and while I was in the business section, I came across a book which seemed completely out of place. It was a book on the law of attraction. It grabbed my attention and I decided it to purchase it. This book made me feel great. I read so many books and I have developed a sense for what is truth and what is garbage. If it makes me feel good, its my truth and if it makes me uncomfortable, I disregard it.

After reading, studying, and applying these concepts, I put them to work and began to see an incredible shift in my life. I now call this 'my shift in consciousness'. This is the second major shift that I have had in the past 10 years. The first one occurred after my girlfriend died in the attacks on September 11th.

Today, things are so different for me. I really am the creator of my own reality. I have realized that once I took responsibility for who I am and what I have, I could take the necessary action to change it. The sense of freedom and excitement that comes along with this is exhilarating.

So now you may be thinking, I want that! Well, if I could only tell you one thing to do...here it is:

Only and always do what excites you.

Are you willing to live this way? Try it and see how the world around you begins to change.
