Where is your focus? How are you spending your time?
I met with a client on Sunday to go over some obstacles she is having in the way of her career. She is holding herself back because of her focus on the things that she doesn't yet have. We all do this, I know I used to be the king of it. I used to say things to myself like, I don't have enough experience or I don't have the capital to pull that off. Then we start checking into our competition and before you know it, we really feel defeated.
"Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead! ... Admiral David G. Farragut
I heard this once and it has always stuck in my head. We know what we want in life but we spend our energy doubting and contemplating the obstacles. Most of which do not even exist except for in our own minds. You have to be FOCUSED! Only see things the way you want to see them. Go after it full speed ahead and do not stop to notice or attend to what you don't have.
Make a very long list of all the reasons you will succeed and look it over 100 times a day if you have to. You are the creator of your own reality, you own the power...YOU CAN DO THIS!
Don't take score to early and make sure you are having fun with it all. The only way you'll keep it going long enough for it to make a real change is if you are enjoying the process. I never do anything unless it excites me, that's the most powerful secret you can learn.
Before you even get started, make sure you are passionate about it. When your passion is ignited you are filled with the fuel to get through the process. If you are not inspired, you will most assuredly run out of gas.
Persistent grains of sand create flawless pearls. Time and intense pressure yield magnificent diamonds.
What you want will surely take time and energy but your results will be astounding! To succeed, make sure you are doing this because you are passionate about it and not for any other reason!
When you find something that makes you feel really really good, you are fulfilling your purpose.
Love and Light, Mark Chabus
