Saying YES is powerful

I had to remind myself that even though I'm saying yes, I don't have to like everything that I do. I just have to keep an open mind throughout the process. Contrast is a gift and from it, we can decide what we like and dislike.

Mantra: I am trying to change myself and no one else...

I wrote this down because in the process of being around new people, it is important for me to remember not to judge them. I have to love them in exactly the state that I find them and allow them to be where they are. Its tempting when you meet new people who seem to be in a reckless state, to want to judge them or fix them. This process is about self discovery and I am the only one I need to focus on right now. When I have rewired myself, then I can assist others. Love em and leave em.

So things I learned on Wednesday.
1. too much alcohol makes people unbalanced
2. violins speak to my soul
3. i love new york city, the energy is incredible

That's it for now.

What a difference a day makes...

Okay so I'm back and with a vengeance. Last night before going to
sleep I decided to make what I call an elephant sheet. I call it an
elephant sheet because we have to remember that we are so much bigger
than we think.

You can read my sheet next to this blog on www.markchabus.com

For the past three months I have been writing a new program and
creating a new expo. I have been studying all that I can about
positive psychology, meditation, relationships, happiness, healing,
well-being, satisfaction and purpose. Wow, that was a lot, its no
wonder I'm overwhelmed.

So, what's the bottom line? Well for starters, there is way too much information out there. Studying about happiness was exhausting and quite frankly, pissed me off. If you don't believe me, ask my wife.

I searched high and low for an archetype to model my life after. Many
of them had some of the qualities and characteristics I was looking for
but none of them had them all. Then it hit me like a bat to a
pinata, I am that person that I've been searching for. So how the hell do I find me?

This is where all of my studying and past experiences kicked in. I
had to write the elephant sheet to remind myself why I am great. (By the way, you are too.) This is what I look at all day long so I keep focused. The next part is equally challenging and exciting. I had to make a commitment to saying yes to new things every day. If there are no opportunities that come up, I have to create one.

Purpose: New experiences make us think differently, if we want a
different life we would have to choose new experiences, make new
friends and try new things.
  1. To make new beliefs, you have to have different thoughts.
  2. To have different thoughts you have to try new things.
  3. In other words, do something NEW today!

So today is the first day and let me tell you how badly my brain does not like this idea. My sister called and asked me to go to some strange concert with her. I think its called vampire weekend. Need I say more? Its not my thing at all so I immediately said no. Of course, I was coming up with all these excuses why I was so busy and I needed to do work. Then after we hung up, I thought oh crap...I said that I would do something new today and there was my opportunity. Damn, this is harder than I thought. So, I had to call her back and say YES.

My plan here is to keep this going for the next 40 days. I got that from a book I just read. There is so much more to say but I'll spread it out. Keep you posted, oh and I'll add video too. If you have any questions, ask away...

There is a major shift occurring on this plane right now. Are you noticing? Its amazing, I have been reading about the possibility of this happening for almost a decade now. Now to actually be observing it is incredible.

It seems to be everywhere I go. I was at the book store and noticed that the displays are chock full of new books aimed at raising consciousness. Major celebrities are endorsing their spiritual beliefs. Even television is promoting it.

Now its up to us to decide if we want to go with the flow here or ride against the tide. Be aware of all that is going on around you and focus on what makes you feel good. Anything is possible at this point. It doesn't matter how many times you have attempted to change. The energy is different now and the knowledge and tools are popping up everywhere. Even I feel info flowing to me at light speed. The trick is to slow down, listen, and allow your vibration to sync up with the universal energy.

So, its time for you to decide...who are you and what do you want? Today is the perfect day for you to create the life you always wanted.

Wake up, be conscious of who you are and tell everybody! Be sure to spend your time with people that encourage this and if you haven't started yet, it is time to practice meditation.

It only gets better from here.

With love, Mark Chabus

Don't dilute your energy on things you are not passionate about.

Where is your focus? How are you spending your time?

I met with a client on Sunday to go over some obstacles she is having in the way of her career. She is holding herself back because of her focus on the things that she doesn't yet have. We all do this, I know I used to be the king of it. I used to say things to myself like, I don't have enough experience or I don't have the capital to pull that off. Then we start checking into our competition and before you know it, we really feel defeated.

"Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead! ... Admiral David G. Farragut

I heard this once and it has always stuck in my head. We know what we want in life but we spend our energy doubting and contemplating the obstacles. Most of which do not even exist except for in our own minds. You have to be FOCUSED! Only see things the way you want to see them. Go after it full speed ahead and do not stop to notice or attend to what you don't have.

Make a very long list of all the reasons you will succeed and look it over 100 times a day if you have to. You are the creator of your own reality, you own the power...YOU CAN DO THIS!

Don't take score to early and make sure you are having fun with it all. The only way you'll keep it going long enough for it to make a real change is if you are enjoying the process. I never do anything unless it excites me, that's the most powerful secret you can learn.

Before you even get started, make sure you are passionate about it. When your passion is ignited you are filled with the fuel to get through the process. If you are not inspired, you will most assuredly run out of gas.

Persistent grains of sand create flawless pearls. Time and intense pressure yield magnificent diamonds.
What you want will surely take time and energy but your results will be astounding! To succeed, make sure you are doing this because you are passionate about it and not for any other reason!

When you find something that makes you feel really really good, you are fulfilling your purpose.

Love and Light, Mark Chabus

Smile and the whole world smiles with you...

When you change yourself, the world around you changes.

For most of my life, I observed what was going on in the world and struggled to find ways of coping with the things I did not like. Since birth, our parents are constantly warning us about all the evils of the world and cautioning us against all the "bad" things. It wasn't until these past two years that I realized, it was my attention to those things that brought me more of just that.

I picked up a new book and everything changed.

I'm self employed and I was at the book store picking up a new book on how to grow my business. Books are my passion and I feel right at home when I'm there. These huge megastores are like churches, a breeding ground for education, opportunity, and relaxation. I just love it!

Anyway, I went there to pick up a book on networking and while I was in the business section, I came across a book which seemed completely out of place. It was a book on the law of attraction. It grabbed my attention and I decided it to purchase it. This book made me feel great. I read so many books and I have developed a sense for what is truth and what is garbage. If it makes me feel good, its my truth and if it makes me uncomfortable, I disregard it.

After reading, studying, and applying these concepts, I put them to work and began to see an incredible shift in my life. I now call this 'my shift in consciousness'. This is the second major shift that I have had in the past 10 years. The first one occurred after my girlfriend died in the attacks on September 11th.

Today, things are so different for me. I really am the creator of my own reality. I have realized that once I took responsibility for who I am and what I have, I could take the necessary action to change it. The sense of freedom and excitement that comes along with this is exhilarating.

So now you may be thinking, I want that! Well, if I could only tell you one thing to do...here it is:

Only and always do what excites you.

Are you willing to live this way? Try it and see how the world around you begins to change.

Feeling ignored?

If you are angry, it's probably because you are not doing what you love. When you follow your dreams and they materialize, it is blissful. Enter your bliss and nothing else matters. You never need anything else, you are equipped with everything you need to be well... all the time.
Feeling ignored? Feeling pissed off? Good, these are signs that you are not doing what excites you. The flag has risen, salute it and move towards things that make you feel better.
Don't get stuck in it, trying to figure it all out will just keep you there longer. Let it go, and sink your teeth into something better.
You won't have access to the solution from that disconnected state anyway. Think of a time when a situation felt overwhelming to you. Chances are if you are reading this, you got through it. There is always a solution! Forget about the problem and adjust your vibration by doing something fun. It's in that good-feeling place that all the answers come flooding forth.

Blaming others

When we are disconnected, we seem to think that it so many different things that are causing it. We blame it on our spouse, our children or our neighbor. It must be them that's causing me to feel this way.
I'm realizing that it has nothing to do with anybody else. We have to get up to speed with the things that we are wanting. We have to fill our days with the things that excite us. If someone is pissing you off, its just an indicator that you are not locked into the force. Do what it takes to connect.
Here are some tips: Meditate, imagine, read something that you enjoy, appreciate. You know what you enjoy, now go do it!

It always goes back to you.

Follow your passion! Enjoy life NOW!
